Eva Maria Dorosowska serves up a winter selection from the eastern Baltic with music from Finland and Lithuania. Sibelius’s Sketches with its winter scene, forest lake and spruce tree heralds winter. Alongside these she reveals the intriguing works of two lesser known contemporaries of Sibelius and further explores the winter theme with Dvarionas’s work filled with snowmen, skating rinks and sledges.
